PRAYERS ANSWERED

Blog171-PrayersAnswered

PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED when it finally poured here in Grenada

Blog171-Drops

Moody Blues’ dripping awning filled gave hope that people’s water tanks were filling.

It was a beautiful sight. Songs of gratitude were in the air. All islands (almost) depend on rainfall. “Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain”!

THE REAL THING

blogtruelove95.jpg

I stole this leaf from Laura’s Herb and Spice Garden. I did it because our lovely tour guide told us that if you write your lover’s name on the leaf and put it in a book and it sprouts then it’s the real thing. I wrote Gene’s name in both English and Spanish (Jeñio) so there would be no mistake.

After 31 years, 9 months and 2 days, it looks like I chose the right mon.

Now the question is, is did the other leaf I stole for Gene and had him write my name on (in English only) sprout? He can’t remember which book (or magazine) he put it in. We’ve looked all over Moody Blues and it’s not to be found.

My fear is that he did find it and it didn’t sprout! He knows me too well, so if that’s the case he’s just saving “us” a lot of grief, not that I’m superstitious or anything.

We gave up the hunt and dashed over to Pat & Geoff’s (s/v Beach House) for a delightful, delicious happy hour(s). I love the below action shot Geoff took of us arriving. We look like we know what we’re doing . . .

Blog169-DebsTurtle

JUMPING THE GUN, but this prize winning shot of a Hawksbill turtle must start off Deb’s posting. She took it in the Tobago Cays, part of St. Vincent & the Grenadines on her second day visiting us on Moody Blues.

“I am still rolling around. Yes I did see you guys from the air however I was sort of upside down and couldn’t get a photo of the boat etc… but I saw a little ant jumping up and down and I can only guess it was you.

“However, my very favorite shot is in my memory of you and Jenio dancing in your saloon my last night. I really and truly enjoyed myself. Thank you and Jenio for your hospitality (or is it Yacthpitality) and your generosity of sprit, but most of all for putting up with me. Red, Right Returning. Safe Passages.”
