We left lovely Sandy Island and came around to Tyrrel Bay (Carriacou Island). We lasted only one rockin’ and rollin’ night, then took off south for Clarke’s Court Bay (Grenada) to start getting Moody Blues ready to be hauled out. Bittersweet . . .  

“CLEAN AS A WHISTLE” was the joyous news that glowed from Moody Blues’ computer screen regarding  Jesse’s (www.jessicaoldwyn.blogspot.com) MRI results.

With happy hearts we met up with a bunch of locals and cruisers at the Lambi Queen, in Tyrrel Bay, Carriacou, for their Friday night live music, street dance, anything goes, anyone invited party.

If you order a rum and Coke, you get a very tall bottle of Coke and a half bottle (4 oz) of rum in a refillable rum bottle, all for 10 EC, which is 4 USDollars.

People hung out outside.

The music was wonderful, hard to not sway, bump and move your hips.

Pretty drummer, huh? Talented too.

Even the dominoes swayed, bumped and moved their bones.

This is Gene between Kathy and Greg, our buddies off of the s/v Indigo. When I told Kathy Jesse’s MRI was “clean as a whistle”, she grabbed hugged and kissed me. It was so sweet.

AFTER BEATING INTO it for three hours we came around Grenada and could finally sail.

This shot is looking toward the bow. The mainsail is double reefed and the headsail is reefed too. We even buried the bow a few times with the odd wave and took water over the cabin. It wasn’t the funniest 44 miles to get to Carriacou (Carry-ah-cou) which is one of the three Grenadian Grenadines. 

Note: boat speed 8.8 knots, wind 20 mph out of the NE (what happened to the predicted SW wind?).

Yee-haw. Moody Blues was a wet, salty mess by the time we anchored in Tyrrel Bay.
